While Cuatro Torres has a global network of investors, we specialise and focus on the world’s Spanish and Portuguese-speaking market. The regions that we cover as often under-represented or even overlooked by our peers as well as investment managers due to language constraints and the need for a local presence.

Success in the Latin American market is far more based on personal contact that in other markets, such as the U.S. or large parts of Europe. Investors across Latin America are more likely to engage with people they know in person and people who have worked in the local markets and have a good reputation.

OUR FUNDRAISING PROCESS

Once we have completed our due diligence on the investment opportunity and are ready to start to reach out to investors, we have a 3-Step approach.

PRE MARKETING

We will selectively reach out to a small group of close relationships to ‘test’ the opportunity.
Feedback taken on strategy, structure, team, performance, etc.
Update / Refine marketing materials and pitch if needed.
Established future investor segmentation, travel, events, etc.

FULL FUNDRAISING

Execute agreed marketing and sales plan.
Keep to regularly scheduled update and feedback sessions
Adapt to investor feedback where necessary (e.g. feeders, fees, share classes, platforms, etc.)
Support intermediaries (where applicable) to keep focus to maintain interest

CLOSING / FOLLOW-UPS

In the last 3 months before end of the target marketing period, make a strong push to follow up on any active leads
Where possible, support investors in completing subscription process
If applicable, help our clients with PR messaging or other communication
Post-closing, we will provide updates to all contacts and help to maintain brand image

We focus on a limited number of investment manager relationships in order to be able to offer a dedicated and robust service to both our investment manager relationship, but also to be able to immerse ourselves in the strategies that we have selected. We seek long-term relationships with our partners – helping them to grow assets and deepen their investor base over time.

Our team includes ex-CIO’s, CAIA Charterholders and others who have investment backgrounds. While there is no replacing interaction with the portfolio manager of any strategy, Cuatro Torres can offer a high level of advice and service throughout the process as a result of our understanding and expertise.
